Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Tera desktop app and your Tera account (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Tera, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Tera is a desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux that lets you run and organize AI agents on a visual canvas. Your Tera account is used to sign in and to manage your plan. Tera works with AI tools and services that you install or connect yourself; those tools are governed by their own terms. Tera is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the providers of those AI tools or by the sign-in providers.
The app may download and install updates automatically to fix problems, improve security and add features.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Tera. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
- Keep the email account and the sign-in providers you use with Tera secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it or create accounts to get around limits.
3. Free trial and free plan
- New devices may receive a free trial. The trial is counted per device and per account: each device and each account can use it only once.
- After the trial, you may continue on a limited free plan, if available, or subscribe to a paid plan.
- Creating multiple accounts, resetting device identifiers or otherwise trying to obtain additional trials is not allowed and may lead to suspension.
4. Paid plans
Paid plans are not available yet. When they are:
- orders will be processed by an authorized reseller acting as merchant of record, which handles payment, invoicing and sales taxes, and whose terms will be shown at checkout;
- prices, billing period, taxes, renewal and cancellation rules will be shown before you subscribe;
- subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you will be able to cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period;
- if you are a consumer in Brazil, you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days for a full refund (Consumer Defense Code, art. 49); consumers elsewhere keep the withdrawal and refund rights granted by their local law.
5. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use Tera according to your plan. You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- bypass, disable or interfere with licensing, trial or access controls;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute Tera or access to it;
- use Tera to break the law, harm others, or violate the terms of the AI services you connect.
6. Tera's property
The Tera software, name, logo and website are owned by Tera and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not give you any right to use the Tera name or logo. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. Your content
You own the content you create with Tera. Your canvases, files and agent conversations stay on your computer; we do not claim any rights to them. You are responsible for your content and for the AI services, API keys and costs you choose to use with Tera.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, but it may change, be interrupted or have errors, especially during early access. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in advance when reasonably possible.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. AI agents can produce incorrect or unexpected results; review their output before relying on it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tera is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer rights.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Tera and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when reasonably possible.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and notify you before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you may bring claims in the courts of your place of residence.
15. General
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our consent. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Tera about the Service.
